Home to Meta, the San Fran suburb is joining arms with BlocPower, the same group spearheading Ithaca’s transition to net-zero, to decarbonize 95% of buildings in the community. This equates to over 10,000 homes and all city buildings transitioned to net-zero through low-to-no interest financing.

Venture capital seeing growing focus on prop & Sustainability Tech
VC firms like Fifth Wall have proven there is alpha to be had by investing in technology platforms that accelerate the transition to net zero. Now more VCs are following suit with 2150 VC focusing in on similar themes, with investments in carbon accounting platforms and carbon negative construction companies.

Colorado to provide free public transit on high ozone days
In order to combat higher concentrations of ozone on ozone alert days, Colorado recently signed SB 22-180 into law, providing free public transit for at least 30 days during ozone season.
